It’s all systems go for one of the biggest sporting and entertainment fiestas in Kenya, the Tusker Safari Sevens rugby tournament.

The three day tourney is set to kick off this Friday at its traditional home, the RFUEA grounds along Ngong Road.

Pooling was done yesterday and the hosts Kenya will be the first on the field against a select team from Western Province on Friday at 9am.

Guest teams started arriving in the country last evening with Japan being the first to jet in. Other foreign teams expected to feature in the tournament include Tanzania, Uganda, Samoa, Les Blues, Emerging Springboks, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

According to organizers, preparations for the event are complete and the tusker village which is usually the entertainment hub off the pitch is already being set up.

The event whose lead sponsor is East African Breweries flagship brand Tusker is set to attract thousands of fun loving Kenyans and visitors alike and organizers have lined up a comprehensive entertainment menu to liven up the crowds off the pitch.

Daily tickets will cost Kshs. 900 each while a season ticket goes for Kshs. 1,500.
