The world is about to embrace African talent from 52 African countries through a reality TV talent show set in Kenya in April 2009.

The international show called Africa’s World Best (AWB) reality TV talent show is the first of its kind to bring together 60 Africans from Africa, Europe and USA into one house competing for one title with the biggest prize in the history of African TV to be won. The show will involve talents such as singing, acting, performing arts, Comedy, poetry, script writing, dressmaking, jewellery making, sculpturing, dancing and other unique talents.

AWB reality TV Talent Show is a show by Africans for Africans. It is a way of empowering Africans, appreciating African talent and believing in the African youth and children.

The show will be hosted by the first ever Bigbrother Africa winner, the popular presenter Cherise Makubale from Zambia and East Africa’s TV personality Gaetano Kagwa from Uganda with international celebrity guest appearances in the live TV shows. These presenters enjoyed a fruitful friendship while in Bigbrother house in South Africa. Their chemistry on stage has been predicted to get Africa’s World Best reality TV Talent Show an excellent rating and popular with the African audience both in Africa and in the Diaspora.

Kenya’s rising hip-hop star Kizzy is set to present the extra show on AWB called ‘The Spin’. This show will bring the audience exclusive behind the scenes news, gossip and interviews with contestants, judges and other celebrities in the reality TV show.

The talent show is open to contestants of all ages who are able to express their talent in various forms. From the AWB research done within the African communities in Africa and in the Diaspora, AWB has gained an understanding of how this show will give exposure to the different talents that Africans around the world and those in Africa have hidden because of lack of both local and international media exposure.

The African children and youth will be directly linked to (AWB) to succeed in achieving positive, useful and significant marks in their lives. The world will embrace, credit, nurture and empower them through their own self-expressions and talent. Therefore, the world will experience a raw talent that these contestants of Africa have hidden far too long.

Apart from being an international entertainment and media company, AWB has created a non-profit entrepreneurial foundation called ‘AWB Together’. This is a foundation that will encourage social enterprise through partnering with various organisations. The foundation will assist youth entrepreneurs and establish creational and educational centres for children and youth of Africa.

The winner of Africa’s World Best will receive the following:
