Specifically, we’re looking for 3 Kenyan males, roughly aged 14 to 22, who have grown up in the U.S. Candidates should have been born in Kenya but raised (since age 4 or 5) in the us, and have Americanized values and ideals. Since I favor urban contexts in my work, we would lean toward candidates from the inner-city, street-wise, maybe from single parent homes and lower or lower middle class. But these aren’t requirements. More important are the engaging qualities and “Americanness” of the candidates. We want a U.S. audience to identify with them so any cultural differences will be highlighted.
